Careful and reliable assessment is the foundation for educational decision-making.

Edelman, 2006

Vision is a significant piece in meeting educational goals for all students. At The Bridge School, it is one of many factors that influence the assessment and implementation of any intervention. Our students have unique needs, and all guiding interventions must take into account the many elements that influence their CVI and SSPI. While administering assessments to meet these needs, influences that can mask outcomes should be considered. Educators at The Bridge School have found additional student information is necessary in completing The CVI Range reliably. They include knowledge of a student’s:

  • Expressive and receptive language
  • Physical abilities
  • Health and medication
  • Personal experiences
